No - the player must be connected to an audio amplifier of some kind in order to hear anything. It connects using standard RCA phono cables, or with a digital audio cable if your amplifier has such an input (I don't know anything about them - my amplifier is from the 1980's).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sir you have to connect the CD Player to a receiver and then connect your Sony or any other brand speakers to the receiver. Warning.... need to know the spec of your speakers to decide which receiver you will need to power them. Impedance = OHms , Watts, Sensitivity, Frequencies, etc of your speakers.
