it is rated at 155 watts per channel at MAXIMUM, at a 6ohm load with 10% distortion. the actual normal (RMS) watts are 80 watts per channel at 8 ohms and .08% distortion. Any lower amp can make close to 150 watts if you crank it to the point of horrible distortion.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the TX-NR636 and it is definitely not 30 W per channel, sounds like something in the set up that is wrong. My stereo will blow the house out and rattle my deck outside. It is 155W per Channel. Maybe it is your speakers?
