“We bought this receiver but we do not want to hookup to TV. We want set up instructions for connecting to just CD player and tuner . Bypass the TV connections.There were no instructions in box. It told us to get instructions from TV .”

Just search on the Model number TX-SR393 https://www.onkyousa.com/downloads/ You should easily be able to connect your CD player to the receiver with either an HDMI cable or component cables. No TV is needed. Enjoy!
