I'm not sure what you mean but I think I can guess. Setup wants ONLY HDMI 1 on your TV. Once you do that you can choose any input. My Recivere out comes into HDMI 2 on myy TV since this is the ARC port. It works great as does ARC and control with my TV remote. However setup did want HDMI one. Now it shows the on screen menu on HDMI 2.
