Can I set this receiver up hooked up to a DVD player, a CD player, and a turntable without being hooked up to a TV or is a TV necessary to go through the process? This is replacing an old Sony receiver in my bedroom and I do not have a TV in that room null

The TV will be necessary for the initial configuration since it guides you thru a set of menus. After that there is no need for a tv for normal operation.
