“Can you connect an ipod using the usb input on the back of the reciever and play music through the speakers?”

• I tried to do that with an iPod classic and it did not work. It seems the only option for direct (wired) connection is to use an RCA connection (old school red and white plugs) from the headphone jack to one of the analog inputs on the back. I believe this is also what the manual specifies. You could connect with airplay or over WiFi if you have a dock that does that-
