“I have a cd recorder that i would like to use with this amp. Can I use the zone 2 outputs and connect them to the rec inputs on my cd recorder to record from the inputs on the new amp. The phono inputs mostly.”

Never tried this. I would think it wouldn’t sound good. Especially if the volume is too high.
