How do I get a phone number null

You get a phone number when you create your Ooma account on their website. That is one of the items you take care of when setting up the device and activating it for service. They will let you pick an area code and a bunch of different numbers in the area code you have selected. So you pick a number from their pool of available numbers.

When you sign up for the service you get to pick a number from a list of numbers.
