Rubbery and textured to keep from slipping
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The case has a semi-hard rubbery texture. If you place it on a hard surface, it will slip but not slide. Confusing I know, but on a car seat, the phone will not slide around like a hard plastic case would. If you need the phone to stay in one place, I would recommend getting a piece of no-slip rubber drawer liner to place under the phone case. You can find the no-slip drawer liner at most big box stores in the kitchen accessories. That should keep the phone in place under most driving conditions.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is a seperate hard-ish rubber exterior that is wrapped around a plastic shell case. It is textured to provide the right amount grip in hand or on a surface. It would definitely prevent the phone from sliding on all but the slickest surface. If it were more "rubbery" , it would be difficult to get in or out of your pocket.
