Confusing I know, but on a car seat, the phone will not slide around like a hard plastic case would. If you need the phone to stay in one place, I would recommend getting a piece of no-slip rubber drawer liner to place under the phone case. You can find the no-slip drawer liner at most big box stores in the kitchen accessories. That should keep the phone in place under most driving conditions.
