Any settings done in the factory radio will be retained after replacing it with the RP5-GM51 and your aftermarket radio. However, if you wish to modify the personal settings you would either need to reinstall the factory radio to do so, or purchase the PAC-UP interface updater and leave it connected in the truck, and use a laptop with the PAC-Audio Vehicle Settings App to change them

Only when running Android Auto...mine is a 2016 and it takes a little getting used too but its ok....
