the fpv goggles will hold most phones, i have a galaxy 8+ and it fits nicely. otherwise, i''m not what you mean by 'for non-drone flying'.

Without the ability to press buttons on the phone without taking it out of the goggles, then out of the case that it has to be in to slide into the goggles, it seems like way too much hassle. Additionally, I did not find a good solution for splitting the screen into appropriately sized dual windows. I didn't look for long due to the button issue, so maybe there is a perfect software for that. The app for the drone does not incorporate a movie or video game mode that I am aware of. Bummer, since I had the same thought as you and that was a part, albeit a small part, of my decision to go with this quad.
