Also you might get better range with Wifi 2.8 ghz but you sacrifice video streaming quality. Wi-Fi at 5.8ghz gives you decent range with better video streaming. Also rember that it depends where you flying from. Higher ground with less obstruction will always be best.

Range depends greatly on the amount of wi-fi interference in your flying area. It is possible to purchase and use a wi-fi range extender, for more information refer the Parrot community forums or google "Skycontroller Ranger Booster"

Can't extend the range, unless Parrot comes with a software upgrade to extend the range. SC2 controller will let you fly LOG. Without any problem. No easy substitute for range extention.
