Do you need a smart phone to work this drone null

Bebop 2 can be flown with a SkyController 2 alone, without a device or app running. The cockpitglasses (FPV goggles) requires a smartphone.

If you have the sky controller it will function without a smartphone, but you cannot see the camera angle as well as a a few other important features.

As long as you buy the FPV version, you don't need a smartphone as the FPV version comes with the Skycontroller which can control it much further than any smartphone can. I've used mine with my IPad, Samsung S6 edge+, my son's IPhone & the Skycontroller.

Technically no. But better performance with it.

Yes and no. It comes with a controller that you can use to fly it, but there are some really cool things you can do with a smart phone.
