“When recording video or taking pictures, can you save it to your phone as you record or is it only saved in the drones storage and then downloaded using the app?”

My husband owns the bebop 2, when he connects his phone to the skycontroller or just uses the app to fly the drone, it saves the videos on his phone in the free flight pro app. We have been extremely happy with the drone and parrot also has top notch customer service. We highly recommend this company and the bebop 2.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is saved to the drone and then can be downloaded either by the app or through a usb cable. As a usb cable, you can mount the drone like a usb drive and copy off all pictures.
