• I just left mine on for 5 mins to see, and they are both cool to the touch still.

• I haven’t noticed any heat. I have seven of these Phillips smart light devices (two bulbs, two strips, orb thing, and the two mini bars) and my room isn’t any warmed when all of them are 100%. Buy one and test it out...great/fun light to have, anyway.
