This is my second pack of the bulbs. The first pack I bought with the hub. I love them! I love how I can set their colors on the app, set up a room on the app where it knows which bulb is which, and you can make the colors VERY bright - almost fluorescent! However you have to be on wifi to use the app, and I am normally on my cell service so I have to always switch it to wifi. Also when you unplug the lamp that the bulbs are in, or shut it off, the colors go back to being white. So I have to go back to the app, turn on wifi, and change the colors of the bulbs. If you always use the same colors, it shows circles of the last few colors you used, so you can just click on them to assign to the bulbs instead of finding the exact shade you want on the big color wheel every time. The bulbs are a sturdy & solid build. I haven't had any issues with any dying or breaking, and they seem like they will last forever...*knock on wood*! They better though, because they are expensive lol! Good thing I had a coupon & best buy rewards! In my attached pic, I have them set as fluorescent pink, green, and blue. The room is also getting illuminated by a huge blue LED light strip all along the edges of the room on the floor. The colors go awesome together. :)

My son got me a starter kit for Christmas, I was going to return it, but decided to set it up. The lights are awesome. Love being able to control the lights with my phone. Have been buying these 2-pack of lights about once a month (they aren't cheap) and replacing my old light bulbs around the house. I did try some of the white only bulbs (much cheaper) but they are a soft white (yellow tint) and the rest of the "old" bulbs that I have are bright white (no yellow tint) so it looked weird, so I took them back and got these instead. They can be bright white, soft white and every other white there is, as well every color in the spectrum.

Great bulb but, if you have to switch your internet equipment or your hub. It’s a horrible experience trying to reconnect them fully, fyi.

I just love my hue bulbs. I am gradually turning my home into a smart home. The color bulbs just adds a little something different to whatever room you are in with a little bit of accent. They are a bit expensive, which is why I am doing a room at a time. Other than that they are great.

I was a little hesitant to spend so much. But I love them. It’s convenient having endless color combinations and the option to have regular white light. I have two in my bathroom and living room and it’s also great for controlling lights from my phone. No more tripping over my cat or walking into things if it is dark when I get home.

Let's see, I have 3 in my son's room, 3 in our master with 2 hue bars too, 1 in the entryway lamp, 2 illuminating a mirror in the dining room, 2 in hanging pendants above the kitchen island, and 6 more spread out in the adjacent living room. Lutron Aurora dimmer knobs linked in the three main rooms and a motion detector linked to the entry way. Simply PERFECT ambience at the flip of a switch in all rooms. Fully customizable settings, perfect for working from home, hosting a dinner party, or syncing up for a fantastic movie night. Be it applying make-up by my wife's make-up station with the bars, setting my son's room to look like a scene out of Minecraft, or having the entry light up when coming home then turning off after no one is there, these lights provide strong lumens, last nearly forever, and operate like a breeze. Worth the investment.

I always thought it would be cool to have a color changing RGB bulb. A couple months ago, I got one and I loved it and immediately began thinking about purchasing more lol So I did a couple days later! I kept asking myself, why didn’t I purchase this sooner?! It’s such a game changer for a room’s atmosphere. The color range is great, I love the presets they have programmed in the app and you can save your own color combinations too! If you’re thinking about getting these lights for fun or to adjust your lighting if you work long hours on the computer and need something more comforting for the eyes, totally go for it!

Purchased the bulb for a new dining room pendant lamp. Now I can change its color with my scenes. Adding them to the hue hub is quick and easy.

Perfect for those who love colors. I got one of these in my room and one in my living room and they are great, really bright, really user friendly. Easy to install too.

I've had 3 philips Hue bulbs since 2015. I have not paid attention to "new" bulbs and related tech behind them because mine have worked great and they haven't had to be replaced. Recently my 4-year-old and some neighborhood friends were over and I played some music and used the hue disco app on my phone to make the lights sync with music. They loved it and wanted to have more "dance party's" so I thought I'd add a few more bulbs to new lamp I added to the basement recently. To my surprise, the tech has come a long way since 2015. I never realized I could not get a rich "green" color with my old bulbs. I found myself cycling through the color wheel amazed at how vibrant and bright these bulbs are. My original bulbs model is LCT007 and the new ones I got are LCA002 for reference. Pros: Rich vibrant color Long lasting bulbs (assuming they meet or exceed previous model) Cons: Expensive Overall I highly recommend these bulbs. The HUE app is easy to use and easy to pair new bulbs to the bridge. My only complaints are more with software than the hardware. For example the Philips Hue Sync software is supposed to sync music and videos to your lights. It does and works, but unlike the Philips Hue DIsco app, the transitions in color and not smooth. It's very choppy and can be hard on the eyes. However that is obviously software, not hardware. It syncs with Alexa for convenience too.

The cool thing about Philips HUE lighting, usually more for when they're hooked up to a hub, is that you don't just have the one app that's made by the company that made them, to utilize. Apparently, 3rd parties have been allowed to try their hand a Phillips HUE stuff, and there are tons of apps to check out. The only downside there though, is that most of them have pretty low ratings.

As I can afford to replace my bulbs I have been replacing all with Phillips Hue! I only have one problem when you buy the sets they never seem to come in even numbers then when you buy that extra bulb it doesn’t exactly sync with the others! Otherwise awesome product!

I see clearly in a multitude of bright colors! What good are color changing smart bulbs? They can set to welcome you home, colors set to commemorate holidays, flash a team color when they score, set for accent or to provide ambience, or tied to a system to communicate an alarm (smoke, intrusion, water, etc.)

I am a skeptic when it comes to electronics but after trying it out myself, I am completely in! I am still trying to figure out how to maximize the use but so far, I am enjoying the hues!

Easy to use and manage. Fun. Perfect changing color lightbulb u can sync with ur phone. Create different scenes and atmospheres.

Love having these lights. I like being able to have white lights or change them to colored to match my mood! The only complaint I have is that they are pricey!
