• Only the smart bulbs will respond to Alexa. So if, you only use one, ONE bulb will respond.

• I changed my four lights one at a time over two months, Once you replace one with the hue that bulb is a smart bulb. They can work one at a time or as a group. I just used the light switch until I had three bulbs instilled.
