I have a lot of Hue lights. ALOT. However I had one lamp that couldn’t be hure’d... until it could!! Works great, easy setup and reliable multi year LED performance. Only thing that could be cooler is if it was color-capable and (as always) the taxedAF Philips price. However, if you’re already in the Hue game.. may as well go all in.

I have looked and looked for a candelabra smart bulb and finally found this one. I couldn't be happier! I love that the warmth of the light can be changed, as well as the dimness. Setup was fairly easy, and with the Amazon Echo, now my reading light is powered by my voice. Love it!

We recently got a chandelier light fixture on sale for a spot in our house with the expectations that I was going to toss some of the extra A19 hue bulbs we had in there, but turns out, "fancy" light fixture needs some E12 action. Immediately did store pickup for two of these hue bulbs and they've worked out perfectly. Setup is a breeze as you would expect and the range of warm/cool white is perfect for what we need. Wouldn't hesitate to get more of these when the need arises!

Good bulbs for fixtures needing candelabra lights

Philips hue has an excellent line of lights. I wish they weren't so expensive, with fixtures that have multiple bulbs it adds up fast. These lights are on par with the regular ambiance lights but I think they are a little bit expensive for their form factor, and they do seem to slightly have less lux. That said, I do not regret using these in the fixtures I have that required candelabra lights. It does both the cool and warm tones quite well. I use these bulbs to naturally stimulate melatonin at night and to energize me while I'm studying.

longer than your standard candelabra bulb...

Summary: It's another great bulb for the Hue system, but I wish I could give it 4.5 stars because it's slightly longer than any of our existing candelabra bulbs and sticks out of the lamps in a funny way where our old bulbs didn't... If you have a different lamp with a slightly bigger shade, then this is definitely a 5 star product for you.
When I bought my starter pack of hue bulbs a few years ago, I had no idea how much I was going to fall in love with the system. Slowly, room by room, I've been converting the house to Hue. However I've been waiting years for Philips to release a candelabra base bulb in the US, and I ordered as soon as they were available. They just arrived and I was eager to swap them out so I could finally get some smart dimming into the bedroom...
Setup:
I ordered three bulbs and all of them were synced to the app within a minute. Setting up Hue bulbs is always the easiest smart device setup- no changing wifi networks or entering passwords. You just open the app, tap on Search, and a few moments later they show up. I'm pretty sure the longest part of the process is me figuring out what to name the bulb.

I have several Philips Hue bulbs in my home including this one. I had no issues setting-up the bridge and bulbs. They all work flawlessly as programmed in the Hue app and Apple HomeKit. There is one issue that I have with this bulb and the Hue system in general. If there is a power outage, any Hue bulb connected to the network will come on automatically when the power is restored. Even if the bulb was turned off before the outage.

I am a fan of Hue products. I have an assortment of the products. We have candelabra style lightbulbs in outside lights. Do notice the bulb itself is white, not clear, so if that could alter the visual appearance of where you have clear basic candelabra lightbulbs, it is something to consider, but the ease of use and the ability to control this lights in so many ways is worth the slight change in "look" for us!

Finally some Hue bulbs for the bathroom lamp!!

Due to the lighting fixture above the mirror in the bathroom having restricted sizing for how tall a bulb can be, I addition to being an E12 / Candelabra socket size, it was not possible to install a Phillips Hue bulb into this fixture.
Now that Phillips has an E12 socket type of bulb I can do this. Note that I cannot use the dimmer switch with these (or any Phillips Hue bulbs) so I have installed the Phillips Hue Motion Sensor to trigger the lamps to turn on to the 6,500k color temp upon entering the room. Then I use a Phillips Hue Dimmer switch to adjust brightness and also turn them off.
NOTE: This bulb does NOT offer COLORS. This is only for the white spectrum between WARM WHITE (approximately 3,000 Kelvin color temp) and DAYLIGHT WHITE (6,500 Kelvin color temp) and anything between those two.
Also, just like the other Phillips Hue bulbs, when you cut power to them from a light switch, then power them back ON, they will default to the WARM/YELLOW color temp unfortunately. However, if they defaulted the lamp to the last color setting used, then no one would bother making much use of their ability to alter their color or scenes. So it seems to be by design that they are fighting lazy human behavior so that their product gets used properly.

I loved having these smart bulbs throughout my house. The ability to turn off/on or brighten/dim with the use of my app or an echo is fantastic. No problems thus far with these lights turning on randomly.

These are a perfect solution for many ceiling fans, In my case, most companies do not yet make a candelabra size yet. I was looking for a solution that would fit all of my needs. Hue was it. I can access remotely, use with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, IFTTT, and access remotely through the native app as well. If i chose to get colored bulbs, could also add accent lighting if we chose. This was the perfect solution for me and was very easy to get up and running

Im a big fan of the HUE line up. We just moved into our new house and needed a couple of these. As normal, screw them in, open the app, add them, and tell Siri to turn them off. Hue had been super easy to install, use and general overall experience. You could talk and non-tech savvy person through the install over a phone no problem and they be done in 5 min. Great product.

I can do things with these bills I can't with standard bills. Gray security feature, where I can dinn or turn lights on and off, when I'm not home. I also like how ai have a3 bulb hanging lamp. Ordinarily, I must turn either all 3 bulbs on at full lums or no light at all. Now, I fam use all 3 on dim or turn 2 off and dim 1. Just nice features all around. The downsides: expensive (so make sure your table lamps are sturdy) and the chandelier bulbs stick out much higher than traditional globe covers.

I purchased these to put in an outdoor light enclosure at my front door that has a dawn to dusk sensor that no longer works. I didn't want to replace the whole light enclosure, so I used these to replace the bulbs. I already had the Hue hub and some other bulbs in my living room, so I thought this would be the easiest work around the non-working sensors. Once I installed these I set the sunset to sunrise feature in the Hue app, and now the lights are on at dark and off during the day. I can even set the brightness and white color so it lights up my front door without annoying the neighbors! The only thing is that sometimes my wife forgets to use the app, or Alexa or Siri to turn off the lights, and turns off the switch instead which deactives the auto features. Overall, I love these bulbs and I am waiting for some of my other "dumb" bulbs to burn out so I can replace with Hue bulbs!

Love being able to use an app or our google home to turn on and off lights. You can change shades of color and dim lighting to your preference. Only downside with this specific size is that they are a bit to long for our ceiling fan lights and so they stick out.

The Hue lighting system is the best on the market. It does so much! You can enable it to the beat of your music to flash different colors. You can program it to turn on and off when leaving or coming home. You can control it with your phone while in a different country. It’s awesome!
