There is no sensor included, however if you have the Hue system including the bridge, it's very easy to add a sensor and direct the system to turn on/off the lightstrip whenever the sensor is triggered. The Hue universe is pretty flush with capabilities, but this lightstrip would not be the best "standalone" option if you're not going all-in with Hue.

The idea is that you can control these with your phone and program them to come on and off at different times of the day or night. You can even fade them in and out if you want it to be gradual. I think If you leave the lights on in the app and plug it into a wall socket adapter with motion sensor, that might work. I haven't tried it but you could always get one and see if it works. Seems like it would with the right adapter.
