• The first one is GEN3 and the second one is GEN2. GEN3 has better blues and green colors. They perfected it with the newest generation, one could say.

• White ambiance can only do white and are dimmable, were as the color and white can do it all.

• Nothing. The older (1st gen) is different and rarely available anymore that offered less lumens. Almost all the starter kits you find now (and bulbs) are 2nd gen.
