The first one is GEN3 and the second one is GEN2. GEN3 has better blues and green colors. They perfected it with the newest generation, one could say.

White ambiance can only do white and are dimmable, were as the color and white can do it all.

Nothing. The older (1st gen) is different and rarely available anymore that offered less lumens. Almost all the starter kits you find now (and bulbs) are 2nd gen.
