• Yes, to my knowledge this can only be used with Hue system bulbs. A hub is required for this device to communicate.

• I don’t have a Google Home but it works excellent through HomeKit with the Lutron Cassetta switches.

• We use Alexa, so I cannot answer the google question, but YES we needed to install the Hue hub
