Yes. You have to set up your Hue app to allow you to set up away from home. You have to register to the Hue site but is free and very easy.

i believe you can only turn the sensor on and off from your phone. I'm not entirely sure why you would need to though.

If you mean change the setup then yes. It will also show you temperature and luminescence.

You can log in and make changes to it remotely and turn it on or off. It’s like all the hue products they work remotely but the interface is hit or miss. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t seems to be related to phone signal.

Yes and no. No, if you plan to only use the Philips Hue app. When you leave your network connection, it will not work. Yes, if you are using Apple Homekit, which is what I use or Google Home or Alexa.
