I did frequently clean and dry my old one but there were places very hard to access where the moisture was being retained.
I'm not really asking how to clean it. I'm asking if the design has been improved, where their aren't these deep grooges, crevises, and lips that can't be cleaned and dried fully. Does that make sense?

Hello! You'll be able to prevent mildew by cleaning your toothbrush and brush heads regularly or after use. Clean your toothbrush after use by rinsing your brush head and bristles. Wipe the handle with a damp cloth. We recommend carrying out a detailed weekly cleaning session. Just follow the easy steps below:
 
Remove the brush head.
Rinse the bottom of the brush head with warm water.
Rinse the metal shaft area with warm water.
Clean the bottom of the toothbrush handle with a damp cotton swab to remove any residue. 
Wipe the entire surface of the handle with a wet cloth.
