My Pioneer shows input and volume level. Download the 174 page owners manual from Pioneer.

Knowing all the adjustments this receiver offers will make a big difference in the operation and performance.

It shows the input or source (ie. cable/satellite; airplay; tuner, etc. and the volume level always.
