QuestionIs it normal to use the volume so high on this receiver? I’m currently playing it at -12.5 to get a cinematic experience. It’s a bit over 70%. I was using Sony products before and never had to go so high. Speakers are set at 6 ohms

- Answer Yeah, I’ve noticed this as well. I had a previous Pioneer Elite and didn’t have to crank the volume as much. This is definitely an Onkyo box now, but the sound quality is great.

QuestionI have seen references on the internet that the Logitech Harmony Elite universal remote does not work with this receiver. Is anyone using the Logitech harmony Elite with the 503?

- Answer I have the 503, and the Logitech Harmony One. Yes, it works great. Honestly though, we’ve been using the Samsung all in one remote that came with our new TV. That works great as well.

- Answer I guess the answer depends on the size of your speakers and the acoustics of your room. I have a BOSE surround sound system: 4 cube speakers in the corners, a center speaker plus the woofer. The sound is rich and natural.

QuestionDoes this receiver send sound from a digital source, like HDMI, to zone 2? Most receivers I have found will only send analog audio to Zone 2 and I'm looking for one that does digital.

- Answer I recommend trying the Pioneer elite 503 I just bought it it is excellent very satisfied All the power you mean to run your speakers If you running Amazon stick you can plug your Amazon stick Through your elites app I'm that will give you the same song as if he was in the theater This is been my 7th Pioneer elite so I am book Donald For the speakers that you talking about getting I would recommend getting something at the higher in with more power so that you can push that sound out
