Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If the file is encoded correctly yes, it can play 4k. If the file is encoded using 4k default codec, ie: hvec1, it will not play the file. If hvec1 file is opened, you will get unsupported format. Convert 4k file to another supported format and you'll be fine. I've done it with uhd Blu-ray I bought and ripped from disc
