A:AnswerAccording to a message from Sony themselves, There will not be any in-store purchases on release day.
"
Hi all – the launch of the PlayStation 5 console on November 12 (or November 19, depending on your region) is almost upon us! In the interest of keeping our gamers, retailers, and staff safe amidst COVID-19, today we are confirming that all day-of launch sales will be conducted through the online stores of our retail partners.
No units will be available in-store for purchase on launch day (November 12 or November 19, depending on your region) – please don’t plan on camping out or lining up at your local retailer on launch day in hopes of finding a PS5 console for purchase. Be safe, stay home, and place your order online.
Gamers who have pre-ordered for pick-up at their local retailer should still be able to do so at their designated appointment time, under the retailer’s safety protocols. Please confirm the details with your local retailer.
A special thank you to our entire community for your continued support this year. Here’s to the next generation of gaming!

A:AnswerDepends on your location. I can almost guarantee, however, that it WILL NOT be available for physical purchase on launch date. As in you might get an order, but you won't walk out with one. If you've pre-ordered you will likely walk out with one. There was a post made by Best Buy, or a representative (i don't remember their role exactly), that stated there will not be any stock for purchase same day, just preorders. This is for some Canadian Best Buys
A:AnswerSony has said there will be plenty on release date so its entirely up to them on if they're available. Supposedly there is going to be more pre-order stock in the next couple days.
A:AnswerAs of this posting Sony has not revealed hard drive compatibility. It is known that you won't be able to play any ps5 games off of your external PS4 drive. It is not currently known whether you can play your PS4 games from your drive.
A:AnswerThe storage space is 825Gb for the high-speed NVME. You can choose to add storage but I surmise that Sony will release that news a little later on how to do that.
A:AnswerAccording to Sony, 99% of the PS4 games they've tried with the PS5 worked. They dont' have a list of games that aren't compatable but, you should be able to find a number of games that will work from your current library.
A:AnswerYes they already did preorders. It’s sold out but they occasionally restock a couple. Good luck trying to get one, everyone has already released their preorders.
A:AnswerSony has stated publicly that there is "no end in sight," to their chip shortage that they need to make this machine. In October for 2020, we had been told not until late spring of 2021. It is now late April of 2022 and Sony has declared this a disaster without end, and have announced they are now going to keep producing the PS4 system indefinitely as their recourse.
So to answer your question Felipe, and good evening to you, hope you and your family are well, but it's going to be some time longer, possibly not until the summer of 2023 or beginning of 2024. That is just complete honesty. At this point he hardware in the PS5 will be at least 3 years dated and will most likely have to make rather large adjustments.
Sorry as I am sure this is not what you or the millions of others have wanted to hear. But at this point, you might be better off waiting for PS6 instead.
A:AnswerI know people at Best Buy. It’s random. They get shipments every month. Once they get word from the higher ups that’s when they drop. It’s safe to say if you have total tech, you can except a drop on any Monday.
A:AnswerExternal HDDs and external SSDs are compatible with PS5, but you can only play PS4 games from them. PS5 software is designed to run from the console's ultra-fast custom SSD, so PS5 games cannot be played while stored on external devices.
The HDD that comes with the console is 825gb. You can get a Samsung 2tb for $200
