Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use Acronis for cloning. Not sure about that specific model of Acer. Check it on the web. But generally it does work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.(STEP 1) If your current drive is working, either make a recovery USB drive (Windows) or have your bootable installation media USB (Linux) set up and ready to reinstall your OS after you have installed the SSD. (STEP 2 + ANSWER TO YOUR FIRST QUESTION) The 500GB PNY SSD has been working well in my Acer 5755 for about 6 months now. It's a 2.75 inch wide. A quick internet lookup on your Acer 5733 shows that it came with a 2.5 inch SATA drive, so this drive should fit and work well. (STEP 3) Install the OS from your prepared USB media and/or backup copy. (STEP 4 + ANSWER TO YOUR SECOND QUESTION) To transfer old files from your removed, working HDD (Hard Disk Drive) just use a SATA USB drive enclosure. (See the picture of my SATA enclosure with covers off and a HDD clipped into it.) If you go to Best Buy dot com and put "2.5 inch SATA drive enclosure" into the search bar, hit enter, you'll see a bunch of empty drive enclosures with a USB cable to attach between it and your computer's USB port. Have fun swapping out the drives! L0RD bless ya! ~Paul K.
