Customer Ratings & Reviews

I’ve been using the PNY CS900 500GB SSD in my virtualization servers primarily for file storage and tasks that don’t require the speed of NVMe drives. For this purpose, the CS900 has proven to be an excellent choice, providing solid performance and great value. Performance: While the CS900 is a SATA SSD and doesn’t match the blistering speeds of NVMe drives, it still offers impressive read and write speeds for a SATA-based solution. It handles my file storage needs efficiently, allowing for quick access to data without the lag associated with traditional HDDs. For applications where fast access isn’t critical, the CS900 performs admirably, keeping my virtualization environment running smoothly. Reliability: Reliability is key in any server setup, and the PNY CS900 has delivered consistent performance since I started using it. I haven’t experienced any significant issues, and it has remained stable even during extended use. This reliability makes it a dependable choice for less frequently accessed data, ensuring that my storage remains intact and accessible when needed. Value: One of the standout features of the CS900 is its value. It offers a cost-effective solution for users who need a balance between performance and budget. Given its performance characteristics, I find it to be an excellent investment for my storage needs without overspending on faster drives that aren’t necessary for every application. Conclusion: Overall, the PNY CS900 500GB Internal SSD is a fantastic option for those looking for reliable and efficient storage in a virtualization environment. It strikes a great balance between performance and affordability, making it an ideal choice for file storage and other applications where ultra-fast access isn’t a priority. I highly recommend the CS900 for anyone seeking a dependable SATA SSD to complement their NVMe drives.

Trusted brand with another great product, no complaints and works as expected! And you can absolutely trust my very professional installation as pictured.

I purchased a couple of these drives and put them into external housings with fast usb interfaces. I use them to backup my system drive twice a month, alternating between them. I get speeds of typically 400 MB/s with this external housing, which is close to the maximum of 500MB/s obtainable when connected to the internal SATA of my computer. I got these drives at a good price on sale.

Great drive- Great price. Super easy upgrade for a Gen 6 i5 machine....was thinking about upgrading the whole computer, but decided to clone the drive to an SSD first to see the difference...Wow. Like a completely different machine. Well worth the small investment and the time..Acronis True Image is great, I have used it many times without an issue, on many different builds to upgrade from a spinning disk to an SSD..(free download with PNY SSD's)

For the money, it’s super fast and really reliable. I think good for the price.

Fast and reliable. Great value when on sale. Would buy again.

Installation was a breeze as I was able to clone my M.2 Drive with windows 11 boot files to the 500GB PNY within 10 minutes which is more than enough space to run windows on. I was able to free up all my terabyte drives for storage and games without loosing any speed, still a fast boot time from a quality name.

This is a great deal at currently an amazing price. This is not the worlds fastest SATA SSD but its reliable and if used in the right way its great I personally use them to speed up a PS4 or an xbox 1 . There also great to bring new life to an older laptop. You cant beat the price and value for the money.

This is a good SSD for basic everyday computing. It is stylish and would definitely be a great choice for upgrading you HDD boot drive on a budget.

I had to replace my old ssd which was bad, kept sending me to bios but this new ssd was a great solution, no going to bios no more, runs perfect, 100% recommend for those who need a new ssd!

Bought this so I'd have some extra space for games and pictures. Easy install and works like a charm. 100% recommend this SSD.

Put it in my lady’s old 2012 MacBook Pro, and it made a HUGE difference in speed/performance

Works fine and havent had any issues a bit pricey for its storage amount but its all that was avaliable in store.

Good quality SSD for the money. Easy to install and has decent transfer speeds. Definitely a good value!

This product has a good price, it is fast and after a week I have had no problems with it

Easy to use/transfer old drive to withe the included software. Solid performance.

Great inexpensive tech. I used it to transfer data between computers. You will need to purchase an adapter to connect it via USB.

Bought 2 to run a raid 0 setup, its been overba year since purchase and there doing great.

Upgraded 4 Dell laptops from HDD's to these 500GB SSD's. Not one hitch. CrystalDiskMark reports read/write speeds at or over as advertised. Price has shot considerably up since these were purchased.

I added this to my laptop a few months ago and it is working very fast. I recommend this product to everyone!
