“Optical connection works, but, when I try to get sound via the hdmi cable there is nothing. I have scrolled through the inputs on the soundbar with the hdmi connected and optical disconnected to no avail. Hdmi is in the proper hdmi arc output on tv.”

• It didn't work for me either... had to activate my ARC HDMI on the TV to do just audio, it was in the setup menu of my TV. Now the soundbar shuts off & turns on when the TV is shut off or turned on, also have volume indicator on screen
