Customers are saying

Customers highly value the Signa S2's sound quality, bass, and ease of use, frequently praising its impressive audio performance and user-friendly features. Many also appreciate the soundbar's compact size and affordable price point. While some users suggest improvements to the remote control and the lack of a display, the positive feedback on the sound and ease of setup outweighs these minor drawbacks. The Bluetooth connectivity is also a frequently cited advantage.

    Outstanding Soundbar for the Price

I bought this soundbar to supplement my recent 4K TV purchase (Toshiba 55" 4K Amazon Fire Edition, which you can also read my review on) and I was not disappointed. For context, I live in an ~700 square feet 1 bedroom apartment and this little beauty can definitely fill the apartment with crisp and clear sound. The sound quality is excellent, with the subwoofer really giving the bass that little more "oomph" during movie action scenes or when playing on my Xbox. It looks sleek and unassuming on my TV stand, but makes itself known very quickly when you want it to. The price was also within my budget (cheaper than expected, actually) and at $180 with a 4 year warranty, it's going to last me a long time. It competes with, and in many ways sounds better than, some Sony or Samsung soundbars that are $50-$100 more expensive than it. It's by no means the best soundbar on the market but for the mid-tier price point you get a high quality product. 5/5, you can't beat the price for the quality. The Bluetooth integration is simple to set up and I listened to all of Pink Floyd's album "Animals" once it was hooked up to my Sony Walkman. It can get LOUD with very little loss in quality, and could easily compete at a college party. It was a bit tricky to integrate it into my 4K TV at first but you do have to play around with it for a bit to get it to work depending on the TV. For that it gets a 4/5. Overall, with my singular complaint being the slightly tedious process of integrating it into my TV (Bluetooth thru my Walkman was much faster and easier), this is a fantastic mid-tier soundbar; I would argue maybe even the best in its class. 5/5 -Pros- +Excellent price +Great sound quality +Sleek and stylish looking +Bluetooth is a breeze to set up -Cons- -Slight initial connectivity problems with my 4K TV

I absolutely love the Polk Audio Signa S2 2.1 Channel Ultra-Slim Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and Dolby Digital! It’s been a game-changer for my home audio setup. The sound quality is crisp, immersive, and perfect for everything from watching movies to listening to music. The subwoofer adds deep, rich bass that fills the room without being overpowering. I also appreciate how easy it was to set up, and the ultra-slim design fits seamlessly under my TV. The wireless subwoofer is a huge plus, allowing for flexible placement without the hassle of extra cables. If you're looking for an affordable, high-quality soundbar that delivers exceptional performance, I highly recommend the Polk Audio Signa S2. It exceeded my expectations and is worth every penny!

    The Best Soundbar under $200

Purchased this sound bar on sale for $149.99 and I have to say, I'm very impressed and happy with this bar. I own a Bose 700 Sound bar system (bass module and the rear speakers) so I'm basing my opinion based on that which costs me over $2,000 at the time I purchased it. So, for me to say that this soundbar is impressive for the price is saying something. I sit about 5ft away from the unit in my small office so the sound packs plenty of punch, delivers a wide stage, vocals are clear (however, you can edit the vocals through 3 stages that the remote control provides if it isn't clear enough for you which basically bumps up the center channel) and the connected wireless sub is deep without any distortion. The bar itself is slim as it's advertised in both width and length and doesn't feel cheap. My only criticism is that there's no way to tell the EQ levels outside of just using your ears. Wish there was at least an app or onboard digital interface, but I guess this is where they had to compromise in order to keep the price down. Either way, isn't a big deal to me personally. Short and simple, if you are looking for a great sounding soundbar for under $200 that doesn't sound or look cheap with a slim profile, this is the one to get. The many positive reviews speak for itself. However, I probably would not recommend this soundbar if it's going to be in a large living room area. At that point, I would aim for the $500 price range.

I am a musician and I have a meticulous ear for sound quality. Before purchasing this sound bar, I tested sound bars by Samsung, Bose, and JBL and the quality was nowhere what I was looking for. Samsung sound bar was not as powerful and did not sound clear. Bose sounded too mono for me. The Polk Audio sound bar met the best quality of sound. Clear, strong, subwoofer is wireless and strength can be adjusted. Price meets halfway from hi-end and cheap brands.

Replaced a Vizio sound bar with this one. The sound quality is amazing. Read the directions and learn what the different settings do. The clear voice setting is awesome. The wireless sub is decent especially for being Bluetooth. I forget that it's sitting behind my couch. I have the sound bar sitting on my fire place mantle under my TV. Very slim. Bluetooth connection to your TV or device is really easy, but there is going to be latency between the TV picture and the sound so make sure that your TV is able to compensate for this if you plan to use Bluetooth. I'm using the HDMI ARC connection.

I got it a special price $150 which I think is fair enough it has ARC hdmi channel to connect direct to the TV with only 1 cable (included) sound is good just that do not except a crispy blasts but it is good for what I need subwoofer has a lot of power to offer the unit by itself can be controlled by the same remote control of your TV I have a LG it does support other TV brands, the voice enhanced feature is awesome it can be wall mounted for space saver, overall It is a good unit, easy to pair, easy to connect, easy to mount, designed for small/medium rooms. If your are planning to feature a nice/fancy home theater look at another direction.

I live on a high ride so I did not want a surround sound bar that would be overwhelming. This sound bar is powerful enough to get the job done and at the same time don't make too much noise as to disturb our neighbors. It was simple to install and the blue tooth bass speaker is great. No wires to run.

Recently bought a 55 inch Toshiba 4K Fire TV from Best Buy and, while a terrific reasonably priced set, the sound (like most flat screens), is not good. I went looking for a soundbar and found this. The price was great - $169. The sound is even better. Setup was pretty much a snap. Used the included HDMI cable thru an ARC port on the Set and .... nothing. Went to the included optical cable instead and voila. However, it by bugged me about the HDMI connection so a little checking online revealed that I needed to go to my TV's sound settings and turn ON the CEC device control. That did it. Now I can control volume levels with the TV remote. Some postings suggest using both connections. Not sure why that would be needed as either does the job. The HDMI connection gives you added flexibility by needing only one remote. But the most important thing is - how is the sound? Well, it does not match my old 5.1 surround sound system, obviously. However, that does not work for me any longer in our new, downsized home. For my purposes, the 2.1 here is more than fine. More bass response than I had expected. Clear highs and midranges. The 3 voice adjust options seem to work great if you are someone who has trouble picking out the vocals on movies or TV shows If I had to give this any knock, it is the stereo separation. But the main housing is only 35 inches wide so what can you expect. The unit has a nice low profile that does not block the picture or IR signal on the remote. Got a 70 inch set in a serious media room? Clearly, this is not your choice. I have this on my lanai and am very pleased with it. If you are used to the sound from TV speakers, you may not see the need for this. But one listen will set you straight. Added bonus, the Bluetooth feature allows you to fill the room with decent sounding music from your phone or tablet.

WOW!!!  Lots of reviews and comments in this category, so I looked at many of them - good and bad - on several brands and types of components I felt were appropriate for my man cave/office/aux entertainment room (I've got a big HE system in the family room).  The size, versatility, and performance of the Polk Soundbar and Subwoofer exceeds all my expectations - a HUGE value! A couple of additional notes:  Installation of these components was a breeze.  The hardest part was getting everything out of the box!  Multi-lingual directions are very clear, and everything worked right - FIRST TIME!  I use my 43" Smart TV as a third monitor (I know; pretty geeky), so I also wanted to replace my crummy little computer speakers I've had for years, and the bluetooth connection from the computer and the optical (highly recommend) connection with the TV changes with a touch of a button.  Nice job on this equipment and the whole package, Polk!  I'm sure I'll enjoy it for years!

For the price it costs, there is no other soundbar that even competes with this. I've bought 3, not because any of them went bad, but because when my parents and a friend needed one, I kept coming back to this. Very slim too so it doesn't block your TV. Pictured here next to an Echo Dot. It's not a smart speakers, but with HDMI ARC, I just turn my tv on and this comes on automatically, I use the tv remote to adjust volume and the soundbar responds, only need the one remote!

2nd soundbar I've owned. This Polk 2.1 is hooked up to a 65" vizio. Frankly, for $150.00 give or take a little, you absolutely cannot beat the sound improvement. And listening to music was even more impressive! Again, for $150, this is very respectable sound with good solid base and several listening options. Agree with many other reviews though, Polk messed up when they left out some kind of a display/indicator to show what setting you are on.

Bought this for the TV in the bedroom that has the speakers that face downward. With just the TV speakers, we were finding ourselves turning the volume way up. The Polk system was perfect for our set up. I bought a bracket to mount the sound bar to the bottom of the TV. This system sounds nice and gives a good amount of bass. I don’t turn it up that loud being that it is used in the bedroom. Sound is nice and clear.

The Polk Audio Signa S2 is as good or better than many sound bars that cost twice as much and I'm very pleased with this purchase! I needed a sound bar to mount under the tv in my bedroom, and this was perfect both in size and sound quality, and it makes the experience of watching tv, movies or listening to music so much better. I'm including a couple of pictures of this sound bar mounted underneath a 49" tv on my bedroom wall.

This is not the most expensive, sound immersive sound bar on the market. However, I live in an apartment. I mounted my bar to the top of my TV so it would tilt with the TV. This bar is designed to be wall mounted by simply hanging on some screws so mounting in the TV took some ingenuity. The sound is amazing without disturbing my neighbors. Don’t get me wrong, it is fully capable of disturbing the neighbors. The best feature are the “voice adjust” settings. With the TV speaker I had to have closed captioning on because I couldn’t hear the dialogue. With the “voice adjust” the voices are amplified and the background dampened. I no longer need the closed captions. Overall, I well spent $150.
