Yes I ran across the same issue. The magnet needs to be adjusted near the wheel. I found a video on YouTube that explained how to do it. Once adjusted it becomes much easier and the settings are more realistic.

You may need to adjust your Drive Belt. Look at page 28 in your user manual for instructions to adjust your drive belt and see if this helps your resistance adjustments.
