• It doesn't require the adapter but, if you can get the Turtle Beach audio adapter, it enhances the audio tremendously.

• As long as your controller has a 3.5mm jack on it they will plug in otherwise you will need an adapter.

• This uses a 3.5 headphone jack. As long as you have the Xbox controller that has a 3.5mm headphone jack you don’t need the adapter.
