“Can you get 7.1 surround sound on PS4 or is that only on of?”

This are good headphones - great sound But you can only engage the 7.1 surround sound with the downloadable software ( the information is written on the box), so the answer is No, you can't have 7.1 surround sound with the PS4, only with a PC or Mac. Just as a final observation, you have to be careful with the headband because the little plastics that hold the cushioned band breaks easy and there's a new updated design with stronger plastics that last longer, if you buy them I strongly recommend buying the replacement warranty for 2 years at least.

Should be able to get it on whatever source you connect to since the USB adapter to the headset is what's giving the audio, not the system.
