“The description says your vehicle needs to already have integrated Apple CarPlay. If that is the case then why would a person need this unit? I was under the impression that this would add Apple CarPlay to vehicles that don’t have CarPlay capabilities.”

Some cars only allow wired connections to CarPlay from your phone. This Rexing Adapter gives you wireless connection to CarPlay from your phone.

This device allows/permits the phone to connect via Bluetooth to (the adapter then) the car’s media/infotainment system.
