Hello, This dashcam will automatically record footage as soon as it receives power. Additionally, if you want to manually inspect a video to watch later, you can also "lock" a video. Videos that are locked will never be automatically deleted by the loop recording functionality. This means that if you lock a video, you will always be able to access it. As far as the graphics, we would say this model has a modern user interface without being complicated.
