    Reliable Dash Cam

I recently purchased the Rexing M2 Max Pro Dash Cam, and I’m overall quite impressed with its performance. The 4K video quality is outstanding, providing crisp, clear footage that captures even the smallest details on the road, which gives me peace of mind knowing I have solid evidence in case of an incident. The wide-angle lens also covers a large area, which is a bonus. I’ve found the built-in GPS particularly useful; it tracks speed and location, and the Wi-Fi connectivity makes reviewing footage on my phone a breeze. The setup was easier than I expected. The mirror design blends seamlessly with my car’s interior, and the touch screen is intuitive to use. The camera itself fits perfectly, and the design doesn’t feel overly bulky like some other dash cams I’ve seen. I also appreciate the automatic start and stop feature when the car is on, which makes it very convenient to use daily. However, it’s not all perfect. The night vision isn’t as sharp as I hoped. While it’s decent, low-light conditions do cause some blurring and less detail than I expected. I tried it in a rainy dark day (see photo) and it feels a bit blurry. Another issue I encountered was the size of the unit. While it looks sleek, it can obstruct a bit of the rearview mirror depending on where you place it. This is more of a minor inconvenience than a deal-breaker, but something to consider. Overall, I’m happy with this dash cam. It delivers fantastic video quality and useful features, but there are a few minor design quirks that could be improved. If you’re looking for a reliable and feature-packed dash cam, this one is certainly worth considering.

Rexing is always improving its products and continues to launch great quality products. This M2 Max Pro is the latest in that series, this is the most amazing dash cam I have bought. The dash cam is simply a mirror that you can attach to your existing mirror using a strap that is located on the back of the mirror. It provides both front and rear views. Because it is attached to a mirror, the dashcam screen is easily accessible and the app is user-friendly. You can able to modify whether you want to see the front or back view camera easily. Easy to install, they have given the hardwire kit as optional to use which comes within the dashcam; the only thing you need to buy separate is the SD card for video storage. Overall, I love this dashcam and recommend others too, you wont disappoint after buying this.

So Many Options, Easy To Use and Set Up, Fantastic

As you will see in my photos, I already have a dash cam from Rexing which I bought 5 years ago and is still running strong, however I saw this and loved the extra features it had and bought it. I will now be taking down my other one and giving it to a family member to set up in their car. Let me start off by saying that I have a really thick rear view mirror and the straps that came with it to secure it had no issue stretching enough to wrap around and secure it nice and tight. The set up was very easy and there are a slew of options to choose from. Once I put in the SD card to save all the videos to the dash cam it detected it and formatted it for me. After that I went through all the menus to explore. The camera on the back of the mirror can be moved manually to get a perfect view, then you can on the screen which is all touch screen angle the camera view up or down plenty, so it captures everything you would like it to. The cords for the power, rear camera set up and GPS are plenty long enough to run through the trimming without worrying about their length. The other fuse power set up cords to hardwire it in are also great and can get the job done if you would prefer to set it up that way. I love that I was able to adjust the brightness of the screen, it was plenty bright enough for the day and can get dim enough for the night. I also like that I can just make it the rear camera if I would like so if someone up behind me has bright lights it does not blind me and can turn off the screen to and just make it like a normal rear view mirror to if I would prefer too. I was also able to access the files via WI-FI and the Rexing App and they downloaded and could be previewed with no issues using my iPhone. I will say that the quality of the videos was excellent, I did not even get that much glare from my window or dash board! I would highly suggest that once everything is set up that you go through all the menus and explore and choose the settings you would like. The blind spot detection and the lane departure warning did A-Ok and I am sure the other features such as the front and rear collision warning will work great but hopefully never have to be used. Overall if you want something that will cover all the bases, has great quality, is pretty easy to use and set up, and based on my past experiences with Rexing will last a long time then look no further, this one will do the job and checks off a lot of boxes!

I'm not the type to review on a professional basis so let me start by saying that the video quality is definitely 4K Cristal clear videos recordings, huge 12 inch screen . Easy to install since my SUV has the several empty fuse slots in the interior fuse box, conveniently saving you from using the 12V plug, low profile wiring makes it simple to run through the cabin. Also rear camera view is clear enough for you to keep it on at all times wide angle range of video feed on both cameras. Nice features such as parking lanes although you need to adjust/calibrate the pocision of the camera well to be precise not something I'm gonna use but good to have. Rubber band that latches the device on existing rear view mirror, might be too big making the cam shake while driving but easily fixed with smaller bands, normal glare level during noon (keep in mind this is a screen not a mirror) not challenging at all in which case you can adapt to it in time. Video download speeds are way above average compared to dash cams within the same price range, considering the footage is being captured in highest 4K quality,. I've owned several models of rexing devices and I haven't had any issues with them so far, only replacing them when I feel like I need an upgrade. I'm not sure if motion sensitivity could be adjusted so far. Material and components feels well made completely superior to most merchants products from Amazon. Audio quality is decent although I noticed mic sensitivity is high enough that even captures wind sound if you drive with your window or sunroof half way opened that could be mistaken with some sort of static, not an actual issue is just good to know. And I love the fact that it has an extended 18 months warranty if registered with manufacturer in case you have trouble. Overall a great technology addition to my SUV happy with my purchase.

I purchased this item to use it on my honda coupe but decided to see how i like it on ny BMW x3. I wanted a front and back camera without it standing it. It works great and the only negative is sometimes the glare of what is reflexted and the video makes it confilusing for the first few seconds when i look. However the video quality is great and i mounted the vamera inside the window (in the trunk) shows me a wider view of the rear and helps show more of whats behind you. It however did not eliminate the blind spot but helped. I did not use the other tech which it had such as blindside detection and the other items. I did not attach the reverse wire since i have a great reverse camera on my bmw and didnt want to splice into it. Make sure you buy the right sized fuse Tap wire. The one that came with it didnt fit my BMW but bought one for cheap and spliced it into the exisiting wire connection. Impressed with the fact that you can change the angle of the rear camera swiping up and down on the left part of the camera. Brightness can be adjusted similarly by swiping up and down on the right side of the screen. I usually keep the rear video on to be able to still have a rear view camera. You can have both front and back cameras visible on the screen too but its too small for my liking. Pretty great camera have had other rexing models and they worked flawlessly in the Texas heat (i shade them when i can). Shows more in the night than a normal rear view mirror but sometimes the headlights of vehicles behind gets too bright so i turn the brightness down at night.

Today, I’m reviewing the Rexing M2 Max Pro dash cam. It’s my fifth Rexing dash cam, and I’ve been a loyal customer since a road rage incident was captured on my first Rexing cam. Thanks to the recording, I was able to easily win in court. (In fact, the video will be featured on Season 2 of Road Rage later this fall.) The first thing I noticed about this dash cam was its giant, beautiful screen. Setting it up and navigating the menus was a breeze. The installation guide provided detailed instructions, making the process easy. You can easily conceal the cables in the door, giving the installation a professional look without the need for an appointment at an auto shop. The dash cam also offers two installation options for the rearview camera: inside the cabin or near the license plate. You can use screws or adhesive, whichever is easier for you. In addition to its impressive features, the Rexing M2 Max Pro dash cam has a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to use. It’s a high-tech dash cam that offers a range of smart driving assist features. Out of all the Rexing dash cams I’ve used, this one is my favorite. It’s easy to use, looks great after installation, and mounts on the rearview mirror instead of the windshield giving it a clean look. Thanks, Rexing!

This dashcam is incredibly visually appealing while delivering all of the features, and more, of a normal dashcam. The Best Buy techs were able to install and hardwire all components as well as conceal the wires for a super sleek look. The screen is also reflective enough to act as a regular mirror, even with my tinted windows. I am docking 1 star for the video cropping and UI, though. If you are using the rearview video feed as your "mirror," you aren't able to see the full video because it gets cropped to fit the screen's wide and short aspect ratio. The UI is not particularly intuitive, either, when trying to move the video to a better angle. Swiping on the right side changes the brightness, and swiping on the left side changes the angle. These are not common UI setups, and the quick start guide that comes with it doesn't explicitly mention these controls as far as I could tell. Overall, excellent dashcam for those that want a cleaner and less cluttered appearance for their car. Especially given that it is priced similarly to other dashcams. A couple tweaks and this would be perfection!

Nearly everything is included in this kit! GPS, power supplies (2 types) and weatherproof rear camera. You'll have to purchase your own SD card. The car on which I've installed this dashcam is not very 'smart.' This camera makes up for that with the option for lane detection, collision alerts, backup camera and blindspot detection. Kind of crazy it can do that... I wasn't expecting those features when I installed it, but it makes me feel better having these features with a student driver learning in this vehicle. The display can be turned 'on' to be used in place of the rearview mirror, or it can be turned 'off' with a brief click on the power button to allow the reflective glass on the display to be used as a mirror 4K! The image quality is great (see images... ignore the dust and bugs)! Hopefully I'll never need it, but should be able to read a license plate pretty easily if anything every happened. This is our 3rd Rexing dashcam, and each is still going strong and being used in different vehicles... this unit is definitely the nicest of all of them.

My experience with the Rexing M2 Max Pro (5days)

My experience with the Rexing M2 Max Pro after 5 days. Using it in my 2022 Mazda 3 in NYC. 4/5 stars for me, because the installation instructions were sparse, and the smart features were a little gimmicky to me personally (but at least they work). Otherwise solid product. Preface: I while I have used a Rexing windshield mounted dash cam for years, this is my first rearview mirror mounted dash camera (entirely covering the original mirror, and functionally replacing it) experience. I decided to jump on this because Rexing offered me a chance to try out this new product and leave an honest review. Packaging and first impressions: Great, organized, thoughtful packaging; made the unboxing experience feel premium. The front camera / monitor unit looked massive at first, which made me nervous that it would take up too much of my view when driving (I changed my mind after installing it). Here are the basic things I normally prioritize with dash cams and whether this one did the job for me: 1. Secure attachment - Pass 2. Records high quality video - Pass 3. Front and rear views and display both simultaneously - Pass 4. Continuous monitoring and recording while parked and ignition off - Pass 5. Adjustable camera angles, camera swivels - Pass 6. GSensor for crash detection and auto capturing event on file. Other Positives and extra pluses: A. Good build quality. Did not cheap out on housing, mounting mechanisms, cables. B. Menus are simple; albeit sometimes translated in funny ways. C. Both front and rear views can be displayed simultaneously split screened or individually full screened (switching is a simple swipe left or right across the screen) D. Brightness adjustment is easy (slide up or down on the right half of the screen) E. Very wide angle cameras; so it captures a lot of blind spots. F. Front collision detection warning, blind side monitoring warning, rear end collision warning, and pedestrian detection warning, lane departure alert. G. GPS module is accurate to within 1 mph for speed detection (I don't really use this function). H. Very large, touch screen I. Cool factor when using smart detection warning features. Installation experience: I installed the camera DIY using the hardwiring option instead of using the cigarette lighter plug to make everything clean. Everything you need to install the camera is included (minus some driver tools or wrenches you may need to attach your grounding wire). All cables are long enough (some are way too long). The instructions are very sparse; so I had to watch some videos on youtube on how to figure out the wiring to enable the parking monitor features (and the videos weren't made specifically for this camera). Other installation options: 1. Just use the cigarette lighter cable (will not monitor your car while parked and off) 2. Get a professional to install it for full features 3. Or buy an OBD port to usb-C cable (simplest solution for full features) My constructive feedback / complaints: #1. This may just be my personal hot take / complaint / gripe - relative to my driving style and habits, but using the screen in full rearview mode in place of my mirror is taking some time for me to get used to. Actually, it is not a complaint about the Rexing M2 Max Pro specifically; but with the idea of replacing your normal rearview mirror altogether. Here is the reason why I say this: When come to a stoplight, stop sign, or simply switching lanes on the freeway; I have a habit of quickly glancing my rear-view mirror in conjunction with my side mirrors; this quick glance allows me to get a 360 degree awareness of my surroundings before making any directional changes. Normally when I am looking straight ahead, my eyes are focused on something further down the road; my eye's focus / depth of field does not really need to then adjust much when looking into the rearview mirror at something similarly distanced behind me (because of how light and reflections work). However, now with the monitor screen relacing my mirror; I find that my reaction time is slowed because my eyes need an extra second to change it's depth of focus to looking at the video, and then to process what I'm seeing and renegotiating spatial distances. It sort of confuses my brain (personal problem maybe?). If you don't experience this, then this is a totally fine product for you. I have not encountered a situation where I felt endangered or that I was endangering someone else so far (knock on wood); just not as confident in terms of situational and spatial awareness of what's behind me while changing lanes; for some of you again, this may not be an issue at all. The one possible saving grace for this problem is if your rearview mirror hangs low enough from your roofline (because the cable headers hit the roof in my car); then you can still adjust the screen angle up to use it as a mirror because the screen is reflective enough with the monitor off (quick tap of the power button underneath); (a tap on the screen brings the video back on). #2. The best buy description for this product is inaccurate. This camera (does/yes/will) have front collision detection warning, blind side monitoring warning, rear end collision warning, and pedestrian detection warning, lane departure alert (see my photos). It's pretty cool to see because it accurately picks up automobiles, lanes and pedestrians with moving boxes and markers. HOWEVER, ONLY FRONT END OR REAR END Smart Detection WILL WORK AT ANY ONE GIVEN TIME, NOT BOTH TOGETHER. You have to manually toggle front or rear in the touch menus (I leave it in Front end monitoring because my car already has blind spot radars). Not a big deal to me since these feature are just a plus anyway. - That being said, the voice warnings can be turned on and off. - Are not very loud even with the volume maxed. - The speech is also hard to discern at first because of the strong accent of the recorded narrator.

First time getting a mirror dash cam and I got to say, this worked amazingly better than I was expecting. The design looks really cool and set up was quite easy once you connect all the wires and place the mirror/cam properly. Whether you're driving in bright daylight or at night, the cam lights up very well where you're able to clearly see. Camera does have many functions and playing around with it, it was easy to navigate through the features it offers. One slight annoying thing was the size of the mirror was slightly bigger than what my car has and took a bit to get it adjusted properly without it wobbling while driving. Wires can be very noticeable if you don't have proper spacing to hide those exposed wires at the edges of your vehicle, but that's only minor is how I see it. Overall, pretty darn happy with it and happy to have given this a shot

Hello, here is my honest review for the new M2MAX Pro Rexing. I already own Rexing camera that I have for many years. I love it and I know Rexing quality. I recently got another car and wanted to have another camera. My new truck is older and does not have a backup camera that is why this Rexing works for me. I am killing two birds with one stone: I use this camera to record and every time I back up. Other feature that made me buy it and did not disappoint is the recording quality. Video is clearer and more stable compared to my old camera (it has 4K in the front and 1080 in the rear). I love that rare camera is waterproofed because I live in NorCal and my truck is parked outside, I feel safe that camera will last and won’t get ruined by the rain (it is also super small). Blind spot detection is good, so I do not hit anything, rear view is really wide so both blind spots can be seen at the same time. Also, the size, it is very slick and small, and you will not feel you have a huge overlap camera, all wires can be hidden in the car covers, and you can honestly forget it was not part of the car. I enjoy touch screen as well; it is large enough for me to use without my glasses. Like I said, I have another Rexing and it has helped me with so many questionable situations, and when I see an accident – I always stop and offer my recording to the victims. This is more expensive than regular dash camera, but it offers much more and does not take space on the window, it is easy to set up. I know Rexing and I know it will last for a long time, IT TOTALLY WORTH IT FOR ME!!

The Rexing M2 Max Pro 4K WiFi GPS Mirror Dash Cam has exceeded all expectations! Installation was super simple using the camera's rubber attachment straps, which easily connected to the vehicle's rear view mirror. The small rear camera takes up minimal space and can be placed just about anywhere on the rear of the vehicle, I attached to the bottom of the rear spoiler. The GPS Logger was placed out of the way on the passenger dash corner and I also wired the Dash Cam using the Rexing Smart Hardware Kit, so if an impact happens while parked the Dash Cam automatically starts recording. The camera works really good simply as a mirror only, or as a two channel front and rear video display which includes an additional automatic backup camera when the car is placed in reverse, all of which my older car did not have. The backup image automatically displays when the vehicle is placed into reverse with a crystal clear lower view taken from the camera's total rear image, with the addition of parking assist lines. I found this feature very beneficial in eliminating my vehicle's rear blind spot while backing. Optional safety features also built in are forward and rear collision, plus lane departure warnings as well as a real time blind spot detection mode. Playback and transfer of stored video and images is very simple using the M2 MAX PRO's built in high speed Wi-Fi plus the Rexing Connect App and a phone, or by simply transferring the memory card to a computer and using the Rexing GPS Logger which also displays a detailed trip map including location details and speed. The Rexing M2 Max Pro Dash Cam provides everything I need and more from a Dash Cam while also providing important video evidence in case of an accident.

I’ve been using the Rexing M2 Max Pro Dash Cam for the past few days now, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance. From the sleek, discreet design to the crystal-clear video quality, this dash cam has exceeded my expectations. The video quality is simply amazing, both during the day and at night. The 4K + 1080p resolution captures every detail on the road, and the wide-angle lens ensures that I get a broad view of my surroundings. Whether it's a bright sunny day or dark nighttime conditions, the footage remains crisp and clear. Setting up the Rexing Dash Cam was a breeze. The installation was straightforward, and the menu is intuitive. The controls are simple and easy to navigate, even for those who may not be tech-savvy. The Rexing Dash Cam feels durable and well-built. The sleek design allows it to blend seamlessly into my car’s interior. I have two other Rexing cameras and can say they have a solid reputation for customer service, and I can see why. They’re responsive and helpful with any questions or issues, providing peace of mind if anything goes wrong. They even sent me be adhesive mounts for my other cameras when I got a new windshield. The Rexing Dash Cam is a perfect balance of price and performance. It delivers high-quality video, reliable features, and is incredibly easy to use. Whether you're using it for daily commutes or long road trips, it provides excellent peace of mind. Highly recommended!

This Rexing M2 Pro Max Dashcam is my first purchase of a dashcam and I am impressed with the quality of the materials and functionality. I didn’t know what to expect at this price point and was a bit hesitant but with my past experience with Best Buy helped put me at ease. The features that are beyond just taking video of activity on the road in front of me and in back of me are amazing. The blind spots warning along with the warnings for objects in front and in back are top notch as is the feature that will take a snapshot of activity front and rear if the car is hit while parked and unattended. When it’s time to install a dashcam in my wife’s car it will definitely be a Rexing.

I’ve always wanted a built in front and rear dash cam on my rear view mirror and finally had a chance to get one. I upgraded my old Rexing 4k dash cam which worked flawlessly for almost four years so I’m confident in their products. If you’re looking to upgrade your rear view mirror to a modern lcd screen with front and rear dash cam capabilites, Rexing makes great products which I can trust to be reliable and capable.

Very happy with this purchase! The Wi-Fi connection is faster than my older Rexing V1P Pro camera. I installed this in a 2005 Tacoma and the rear camera cable length as more than sufficient. I would have appreciated an included or optional license plate mounting bracket, but since my truck is older I just screwed the camera through the license plate and into the bumper. The parking monitor feature is working nicely and hasn’t caused any issues draining my battery. It is quite sensitive, even on the low setting, but I just make sure to occasionally format the memory card. I was a little disappointed that the Driver assistance features aren’t compatible with 4K recording. I haven’t tried them out since high quality footage is more important to me than lane assist, etc. The menus and controls are easy to operate. The monitor only shows part of the nice wide angle area that is being recorded but you can pan up and down to see the other areas and it will remember where you left it aimed. Overall very happy with the quality and value!

This is a major upgrade from my first M2 which was already awesome. I'm still navigating the features. The camera image is super crisp and clear, and very little nighttime glare from headlights behind which is the best improvement. The recordings are incredible ...be careful what you say :) The original M2 on my other car saved me $500 in towing fees. The tow truck pulled up from behind the merchant building literally 20 seconds after I left my vehicle. The dashcam recorded everything. When I wrote a one start review to the merchant, the corporate office wanted more info and the dashcam videos were emailed. The merchant requested the tow company to refund $500 because the merchant did not initiate the complaint. Before this incident, I had no idea the camera operates without the key. Amazing asset for a reasonable price.

I added this onto an older Class C RV that doesn't have any rearview camera installed. I was amaze at how sharp the camera was and how easy it made my life when backing up the RV into a parking spot. Luckily, the supplied 25' cable was long enough to reach back to the mirror in the cabin. The 12" dash cam with the front facing camera was exceptionally sharp! The installation was simple since I just used the cigarette lighter plug instead of using the direct wire kit which uses two fuse slots. Overall, I recommend this upgrade for any RV owner that don't have a rear camera system.
