Yes, I have mine on a Tacoma with cap and am using the rear camera view as my primary rear view mirror. The camera is mounted to the top of my license plate and can just see the top of a hitch ball when installed and still record plenty of height to see drivers and traffic lights behind you. It’s easy to switch between front, rear, or split views and it will stay where you set it.
