• It comes with both a 12v (old school cigarette lighter) power connector, and a direct to battery connection. You will need the direct to battery connection if you wish to use the camera's ability to record in case your vehicle is struck while parked.

• Rick, I just got this for my birthday last weekend and fixing to install mine now. The box included both a hardwire fuse tap power cable, and a 12V cigarette lighter power plug. Stretched out, the cable on the cigarette socket power plug is right anout 11 foot 3 inches. Hope that helps!
