The R316 is my fourth Rexing Dashcam. I'll leave the more technical aspects for other reviewers, it' s the aesthetic improvements I appreciate-simple elegant shape and design and the smallest unit I've owned. It's looks like original equipment and is barely noticeable. The integrated GPS=suction cup module works better that adhesive squares and a simple turn vertical locks suction cup to the windshield. Controls and buttons/menu are the same as previous models so no learning curve. 4K (front only) is a noticeable improvement in video detail/quality and latency seems enhanced with move to USB-C connection. I finally plan to install the direct wire kit on this unit (included) which allows Parking Monitor/Surveillance mode protection. I'm impressed by the upgrades and features engineered into a small unit,

This was so easy to connect and installation is fast. Just takes time the longest is hiding the power cable in the seams of the car. The main cam is 4k but the cabin is only 1080. The cabin camera shows most of the time in black and white but is still clear. This came with 64Gb micro SD memory card which was nice. You don't really need a huge card because it just gets over written once it's filled up and if something should occur, then you just connect your phone wirelessly to the camera and download that specific footage or take out the card and transfer in your laptop or computer. This also comes with hard wiring kit to always be on like the parking and collision detection to get that 24 hours protection which is really nice especially if you park your car outside the garage. Has night vision which is good and the suction cup mounts in the windshield connects solid so far. I installed this together with my older Rexing dashcam which has a rear camera but no cabin view. Both now works together to capture front, rear and cabin.

I've been a loyal user of various Rexing dashcams for years, and I’ve never been let down by any of them. In fact, I'm still using their original V1 dashcam that I bought four years ago in one of my cars. What continues to impress me is how Rexing always finds ways to enhance their dashcams, and one of their latest offerings, the Rexing R316, is no exception. The Rexing R316 is a new addition that builds on the strong foundation of Rexing’s previous models. It features ultra-high 4K front and 1080p cabin recording. Unfortunately, no rear camera is included in this unit, but if the next iteration includes it, I think it will be a complete package. This unit also has integrated GPS and Wi-Fi for route and speed logging, plus 24/7 surveillance and collision detection with its parking monitor and G-sensor. It comes with a 64GB micro SD card, which is more than enough for the average commuter considering that this dashcam has loop recording functionality. For the level of technology packed into this dashcam, I don’t think there’s anything on the market that can match the value Rexing offers. As you might have guessed, I completely trust Rexing for their quality and value. If you’re considering a dashcam, I highly recommend going with Rexing. Their products are reliable and built to last, and they come with a solid warranty and top-notch customer support. Every time I buy a Rexing product, I have peace of mind knowing I’m getting the best value for my money.

I got this to replace a v1p. It’s ok. This cam came with a gps, and cabin facing camera, which wasn’t in the previous kit, it also has both a cigarette plug and a hardwire kit. It doesn’t however have a rear camera. The plug for the external camera is different, so I can’t reuse the existing installed rear cam. The finish is not great. After spending $200, you would expect a nice case. It feels cheap like a $10 Aliexpress item. The mounting is just a big suction cup, and the camera profile is big. The buttons are on the bottom and hard to interact with unless you unmount the camera. I haven’t had a chance to use it much yet, but it’s a nice picture and perfectly functional.

THE GOOD: Good quality cabin video (1080p/wide angle), night vision works well, nice looking design, gravity detection (collision) lock, easy to navigate settings, good audio pickup, easy to add a third rear camera THE MEH: Acceptable quality main camera (4K/wide angle), Rexing Connect (android app) for wireless viewing/download can be hit or miss, Rexing Connect is a bit feature light, cabin camera locking mechanism could be better, buttons can be difficult to read, no fine-tuning for main camera angle, unreliable suction cup mount, cannot use third party mounts This Rexing R316 kit has a good set of features: 4K main camera, 1080p cabin camera, GPS tracking, automatic night vision mode, smart wiring kit, auxiliary power adapter, suction cup mount, 64G MicroSD card, and several other bits and bobs. The camera has a nice, modern design in a fairly small package. It is attached to the windshield using the suction cup mount and can be powered by either hard-wiring the smart wiring kit to the fuse box or using the auxiliary power adaptor (aka cigarette lighter plug). For those who do not want to mess with routing cables, Best Buy offers dash camera installs for $99 (which is a pretty good price having installed one myself). The kit is a solid start for a dash camera setup, though I strongly feel an additional rear camera is a must for better video coverage (which can be purchased from Rexing or other venders; Best Buy does not offer it). The main camera video is 4K/30fps and the cabin 1080p/30fps. Video clarity is good and very usable, though the main camera videos look a bit blotchy to me. Video stabilization works very well even on very rough roads. License plates and signs are not very readable unless you are very close or not moving, but this is the same from every other car camara until the tech improves. I also found the automatic night vision mode worked well, even on very dark drives. Audio pickup is good, capturing not only cabin conversations but also quieter sounds like blinker noises. However, I do not think the range of the mic extends much outside the cabin. The included 64G micro SD card is enough to get you started. Rexing suggests it will capture about 7 hours of driving before overwriting the oldest videos... but I would be much more comfortable with a 256G card for better capacity. The Rexing Connect App worked, but was frustrating at times. There were several times when the app would not connect to the dash cam. Either the app or camera or both needed a restart for it to work. The app also could use some better features such as improved sorting, clearer times, dates, and camera ids instead of just file names. Downloading or view videos wirelessly worked fine once connected. Rexing also offers the Rexing GPS Player on their website for viewing videos on a Windows PC. It integrates with google maps to show the actual location of the vehicle as it travels through the recording. The video quality is not as good as VLC, but as a tool it is not bad. One point of clarification: The Best Buy listing states "motion detection" is a feature, but this is not entirely accurate. Motion detection is supported with the purchase and installation of the Intelligent Hardwire Kit from the Rexing website. I do not like suction cup mounts. I have yet to find one that will not eventually fall down. While testing, most any time I needed to make adjustments to the mounted camera, connecting wires or adjusting the angle of the camera, the mount would pop off the window no matter how cleaning I locked the suction cup in place. It comes off easily enough that I am worried the camera could fall if the car is in an accident. Also, the GPS is integrated into the suction cup mount, so third party mirror or adhesive mounts cannot be used without loosing the GPS functionality. Rexing does not offer any alternatives. Unfortunately my state has rules against suction cup mounts, so I use a mirror mount. Also, the cabin camera is detachable, locking to the main camera with a pincher style catch. This is great if the cabin camera fails, but it feels too easy to detach. I can foresee it flying off in a bad accident, loosing that video. It has disconnected a few times when I was adjusting the camera. I think this is a bit of a design flaw. There are several other ways the cabin camera could have been secured while still remaining detachable. Unfortunately this dash camera is a PASS for me due to the suction cup mount and the cabin camera lock.

When I went to Best Buy to purchase a dash cam, I did not know exactly what I was looking for and the salesman was very helpful and helped me find exactly what I needed for. My car installation was quick and very affordable and I absolutely love the product that I chose! The quality is superb! My insulation technician even told me it was an excellent choice! I was also really impressed with the price of the product for the quality.

Nice upgrade for me and really nice dash cam for any first time owner. The 4k is what got my attention with this. My old one was 1080p and the video quality was ok but I wanted something a little more hi def and this was the one I landed on. There is no rear camera with this setup so only the front and cabin are recorded. Comes with everything you need to get setup including a microSD card, cigarette charger and the smart hardware wire for cleaner install and always on capability. Video quality on this is right on par with what I was hoping/expecting. Still need to setup the hard wire since this dash cam is USB-C and my older one was MicroUSB. Once setup though, it'll look nice and clean.

Brought this back in January, this dashcam ensures that the amount of insurance fraud woild decrease. I live in a metropolitan area with a lot of traffic so this product has been really useful espeically when eveeyone drives so erratic along with sudden traffic that makes everyone brake out of nowhere, so even when i get rear-ended or into a fender bender i can show the footage to the police and insurance companies,

I've had many Rexing products over the years, and every new product has new advances in technology and get better each time. I recommend a dash cam to everyone and especially if you live out of your home country. Most places if you are a foreigner and have an accident you are automatically considered the guilty party. We were hit by a tractor trailing from behind and pushed into 4 other vehicles. I had a Rexing front recording dash cam and it captured the tractor trailer as we passed, then we came to a stop behind other vehicles before the tractor trailer slammed into us. I removed the dash cam and saved the video. I reported it to our insurance and lawyer, and the video proved that the other driver was at fault. It protected us, and all the other vehicles. Now with 4K quality frontrecording and 1080p cabin you won't miss any details! I would have been nice to have a rear camera added as well (maybe the next generation will have it). An easy mount to the window keeps things simple, and running the power cord to the cigarette lighter is very simple following the install instructions. Having a USB-C power cord is great, and including a 64GB micro SD card is a bonus! This will provide amble size for recording and the unit will record over all video that hasn't been locked and saved. The G sensor for impact detection, and the parking monitor detects vibrations when parked. Quality is great, and I still have Rexing products that I have purchased many years in the past that are still functioning without problems.

As my title says, this is my 7th Rexing dashcam as I keep on upgrading whenever Rexing releases a new one. Now, here's another review for their new release Rexing R16. With its 4K resolution, oh boy it's so clear. With built-in GPS! It also already includes a 64GB Rexing microSD card which is a big plus so I don't need to purchase a memory card separately. I would say this is perfect for Uber/Lyft drivers as it records not only what is happening outside but also inside the vehicle. What's best with Rexing products is it has 18-month warranty! Looking forward for my next Rexing dash cam upgrades!

I like the that it had 3 cameras and GPS and Wi-Fi Connectivity as well, have ability to disable internal camera and audio recording, which is useful for personal privacy. also he parking monitor is great and it gives us more piece of mind. Was worth paying the extra to have them install it professionally. Would definitely recommend!

I have to say it has been a mostly positive experience, with a few drawbacks worth mentioning. Pros: Picture Quality: The 4K resolution is impressive. The clarity of the footage is exceptional, Even at night, the low-light performance is decent, providing usable footage in dim conditions. Ease of Installation: Setting up the dashcam was straightforward. The included adhesive mount was easy to affix to my windshield, and the wiring was simple to route along the edges for a clean look. User-Friendly Interface: The interface is intuitive, making it easy to navigate through the settings. I appreciated how quickly I could adjust the settings or view footage. Wide Angle View: The wide-angle lens provides a broad perspective of the road, better than my previous dash cam Cons: Build Quality: While the design is sleek, the materials feel a bit less robust than I expected for a device that’s supposed to withstand the elements. I worry about its durability in extreme weather conditions. Wi-Fi Connectivity: The app for viewing and managing footage via Wi-Fi is a nice touch, but it can be glitchy. I experienced some connection issues, which made transferring videos to my phone frustrating at times. Overall, the R316 is good for me as I mainly focused on video quality.

Ive been looking for a 4k dash cam for a while and this checked all the boxes for me. This cam is super crisp no matter if it is showing the inside of the cabin or the front of the car. I like that it also has night vision enhanced view for the inside of the cabin. It also has speed monitoring with the gps. Overall its great quality and definitely worth your money.

This is the second dashcam from Rexing. I had been using my first one for past 6 years but after trading in the car for another one, I decided to purchase R316 and I couldnt be happier! The installation was fairly simple and took me about 20 mins to route and hide all the cables. The resolution is very good and it captures both front and back view. The app is also intiutive to use. Highly recommended!!

I have owned many dashcams over the years, many of them made by Rexing. I can say, without a doubt, this is one of their best versions yet. The installation process is very simple, and you are given the choice for a hardwiring kit (included at no extra cost!) or a USB-C wire to plug in to the cigarette lighter in your car. Luckily, this dashcam replaced another Rexing camera I had already installed (hard-wired) and all I had to do was use a right-angled USB-C wire extender to get it to fit in the right place in my vehicle. The outstanding part about the R316 is *FINALLY* 5GHz WIFI! This makes transferring videos from the camera to your phone so much faster and it seems to keep a connection better than any other camera I have used with WiFi. One caveat: if you have CarPlay or Android Auto, you may run into issues downloading videos as the camera and the CarPlay/Android auto will fight for the WiFi connection. So, what I do is just turn the car off, connect to the camera with the Rexing app, and download videos as needed. The video clarity exceeds my exceptions - but front-facing and the in-cabin camera. The menus are intuitive and easy to set up. Definitely a 5-star rating from me!

I am a long time user of Rexing car cameras. Over the years, they have constantly improved their quality and usability. The R316 builds on that history of producing high-quality automobile cameras. This model is compact, yet has a large display. The cabin camera captures not all of your behavior - to prove you weren’t texting one of an accident happened, but also what’s happening behind your vehicle. The menu structure with the navigation buttons is easy to use. I especially like the Wi-Fi feature, which allows me to view recordings on my iPhone. The most important aspect of owning this camera is the ability to document the cause of an accident. When driving through a parking lot, another vehicle backed into me. We both had the same insurance, but they refused to give the insurance company a statement of what happened. The company was getting ready to charge my uninsured motorist policy with its large deductible. I sent them a video of the accident and they immediately changed their minds and charged the other driver’s policy. That saved me $1,000 deductible! I always have my camera running when I’m driving my car, and I always upgrade to new generations of Rexing cameras for their feature set and high-quality. I highly recommend this camera!
