Hello! Please note that this issue is related to the installation aspect of things. Since it sounds like the technician did not use a hardwire kit, it's possibly they might have just installed it to your vehicle's fuse box. If you drive a truck or have a vehicle that has an always-on cigarette socket port then this would explain the drained battery.
