yes correct, u need to be inside the car bc the app u only can be using  when ur connecting to the wifi

Yes you need to be in the car or close. Yes if you have an adaptor you can download or do it directly with wifi, However, viewing all the files is a bit difficult on the wifi so I have 2 cards and take the one out when I need to review it.

Yes, WIFI only works while you are in the vehicle with the dashcam ON. It does not automatically download files to your phone.

I have a card reader that connects the card to the PC. I haven't tried using the Wi-Fi function yet.
