The WiFi connection is an absolute nightmare. It takes forever to connect and if your vehicle has apple car play or android it will adapt to that first. So far I’m not happy with the Rexing brand. For all that money there shouldn’t be issues with this new unit. The Rexing app sucks.

Yes, that is correct. Click on the WIFI symbol on the top of the camera to get the WIFI information and connect to it on your phone.
