• Hi! Yes, you are able to detach it on a daily basis. The camera just attaches onto a clip piece on the windshield, that you are able to slide on and off. The power wire could just be unplugged as well. The mounting that goes on the windshield, just uses a double sided tape to be attached. I can see that piece getting loose over time of repetitive removals. The kit does come with a spare. Hope this was helpful...

• Hello! The V1 basic uses an adhesive. Therefore, you would not be able to simply remove it once the adhesive sits in.
