As far am I am aware, the game is going to have to support dolby atoms and since it is a relatively new format I know the majority of games out there that I have seen do not support it, but that may be changing with updates to games as well as new releases using the format more and more, but a lot of games I play still use dolby digital or dolby digital plus.

Since I only play XBOX one games I can only speak for ma and my 3 Grandsons All games in last 3 years can When you buy the head set they send a 20 digit code that is entered on the console. Once entered you can go to settingsDOLNU and Change it to DOLBY ATMOS. Best head set I’ve ever had and being 76 yrs old that’s a lot of headsets
