“Hi, do I need to pay a ring plan in order to use this sensor?, I'm only getting it to pair it with my Astro robot so when someone opens the door Astro can go to the front door , I'm not using it as a security function since I have my alarm provider.”

Hi nelson. Thanks for asking. The Ring Alarm Contact Sensor requires the Ring Alarm or Ring Alarm Pro. Ring Alarm and all Ring Alarm accessories require a subscription for in-app features and digital notifications, including digital arming and disarming and integration with other Ring, Echo, Alexa, and third-party products.
