Hello Jonathan, Great question! The Ring Alarm Flood & Freeze Sensor is a device designed to detect water or freezing temperatures inside your house. By using a Ring Alarm Flood & Freeze Sensor in combination with your Ring Alarm Base Station, you can be alerted regardless of where you are. This device will send an alert to your phone and the Ring Alarm Base Station will also give you an audible alert that water is detected.
