Hi Angie. The Ring Alarm Outdoor Contact Sensor uses Z-Wave to communicate with the Ring Alarm Base Station, so it does not connect to wifi directly. It's also important to note that the Base Station is required for the Outdoor Contact Sensor, and the Base Station requires a wifi connection.
